In his most recent research report, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known industry analyst, highlighted that Apple's initiative to incorporate high-definition OLED display technology into its Mac product lineup has encountered repeated delays. In particular, the integration of OLED panels into the eagerly awaited MacBook Air is likely to be pushed back from the initial projection of 2028 to the period spanning 2028 to 2029. Earlier, the market had anticipated that the MacBook Air might transition to OLED technology as soon as 2027. However, in his latest analysis, Kuo revised his prediction, suggesting that the adoption of OLED panels may occur between 2028 and 2029. Additionally, he reaffirmed that the upcoming MacBook Pro will be equipped with an OLED screen, with the timeline possibly shifting from late 2026 to early 2027.
