IT Home, March 10 - Following the launch event of the flagship Honor Magic V6, @Xiao Ge from Honor's Full-Scenario Product Line at Honor Device Co., Ltd., unveiled a comprehensive upgrade plan aimed at transforming Honor's tablets into PC-like devices. He emphasized that this transformation goes beyond merely adding a "PC mode" overlay; instead, it involves fully integrating PC capabilities into the tablet, thereby turning it into a bona fide productivity tool for office tasks.

The upgrade plan encompasses several key features:

  • PC-like Interaction: Mimicking the desktop operation logic of PCs, this feature supports free window dragging and resizing, along with full native adaptation for keyboard and mouse inputs.
  • PC-level Application Support: This involves the complete porting of professional PC applications, covering a wide range of scenarios including office work, design, data processing, and more.
  • Open Linux Desktop Environment: By breaking down ecological barriers, this feature grants users greater system autonomy, allowing them to customize their tablet experience.
  • Gaming Geek Mode: This mode fully unlocks performance parameters, delivering ultimate performance and low-latency control for an enhanced gaming experience.

According to the compatible models and update schedule, the Honor MagicPad 3 Pro will be the first to receive this upgrade in April 2026. Subsequently, multiple other models, including the MagicPad 3 series, GT series, and V9, will also be eligible for the upgrade.
