Apple has recently launched the new MacBook Pro lineup, which is equipped with the advanced M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. However, prior to this announcement, some users had already placed orders for the M4 Max variant. Several users have reported that Apple is proactively stepping in to cancel the pending, unshipped orders for the M4 version. In a generous move, Apple is offering these customers a complimentary upgrade to the equivalent M5 Max model, without any extra charges.
Take, for example, a user who had ordered a 14-inch M4 Max MacBook Pro (boasting a 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU, 64GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD). Their order was automatically canceled and seamlessly updated to the M5 Max version, with only a minor adjustment to the expected delivery time. Moreover, users who had opted for the M4 version of the MacBook Air are also being presented with the same enticing upgrade offer.
