Last month, Lenovo Korea's customer service team announced a temporary halt in the release of updates for the Legion Go handheld gaming console, which set off a wave of apprehension among its user base. Subsequently, an editor from an international media outlet reached out to Lenovo for clarification on this issue. In response, Lenovo clarified that support for the Legion Go (8.8-inch, 1TB) handheld gaming console has not been terminated. The company is actively maintaining the console by providing essential driver and BIOS updates, and it pledges to continue this support until October 2029. Lenovo is working in tandem with AMD to devise a comprehensive driver update strategy, ensuring that new versions undergo thorough evaluation before release. This particular handheld gaming console, which was introduced in late 2023 and is powered by an AMD Z1 Extreme processor, is just one of several devices on the market that feature Z1 series chips.
