Mun Sung-hoon, Vice President and Head of Hardware for the MX Business at Samsung Electronics' DS Division, announced that Samsung is set to integrate its proprietary Exynos processors throughout its entire Galaxy product range. For the recently launched Galaxy S26 series, specific regional variants of the S26 and S26+ will be powered by the Exynos 2600, whereas the Ultra model will solely utilize the custom-built Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy AP. Additionally, certain products will incorporate MediaTek APs. The AP strategy represents a mid-to-long-term vision for Samsung, necessitating continuous dialogue with its partners. This year, the Exynos, as the world's first 2nm AP, has achieved notable enhancements in critical performance indicators, such as power efficiency. Samsung is committed to advancing AP development through a mid-to-long-term strategic approach, with the ambition of eventually deploying Exynos processors across all its product lines. The company remains dedicated to exploring AP solutions that will enrich the smartphone user experience through cutting-edge hardware innovation.
