On February 27, Meituan's Keeta Drone, in partnership with the Hong Kong Children and Youth Services, inaugurated the city's inaugural low-altitude logistics corridor dedicated to delivering meals to the elderly—dubbed the “Ting Kok Tsuen, Tai Po Drone Route”. This innovative route employs a “drone aerial transport + manual relay” approach, significantly slashing meal delivery times from 1.5 hours down to a mere 10 minutes. By the end of 2025, Meituan's drones will have established 70 routes in various cities nationwide. Beyond the elderly meal delivery service in Hong Kong, the company has also initiated regular low-altitude medical supply delivery routes, with aspirations to broaden its scope to encompass more delivery scenarios, including pharmaceuticals and everyday essentials, in the near future.
