Insta360 released an announcement, stating that on February 26, 2026 (U.S. time), it received notification of the final ruling from the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Regarding the six patents in question, the ITC's rulings were as follows: For the three invention patents claimed by GoPro, the ITC determined that the accused products do not infringe upon these patents. Additionally, the patent claims were found to be either entirely invalid or partially invalid. In the case of one patent, the ITC concluded that there was no infringement. For another patent, the claims were deemed invalid. Only some of the products previously exported to the U.S. fell within the scope of protection of a design patent asserted by GoPro. However, the new design solution proposed by Insta360 has been recognized by the ITC as not infringing upon this patent. Furthermore, this previous-generation product is no longer being exported to the U.S., and all current products have adopted the new design solution. Consequently, the 337 investigation involving Insta360 has now concluded, with no significant impact on the company's production and operations. The company will continue to import and sell its existing products in the U.S. market as usual.
