At 2 a.m. Beijing Time on February 26, 2026, Samsung held the Galaxy Unpacked global launch event in San Francisco, officially launching the Galaxy S26 series. This series comprises three models: the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. This launch signifies the mobile phone industry's official entry into the 2nm mass-production phase. The S26 series is the first to incorporate the world's inaugural 2nm process mobile phone chip, promising swifter computing speeds and reduced power consumption.

The series employs a dual-chip strategy. The international versions of the S26 and S26+ are fitted with Samsung's in-house Exynos 2600 2nm chip, whereas all Chinese domestic models and all global versions of the S26 Ultra are outfitted with a Snapdragon chip co-customized with Qualcomm.

Regarding imaging, the S26 series redefines the mobile phone imaging experience through profound integration of AI capabilities. The premium S26 Ultra boasts a 200-megapixel main camera, supporting up to 10x optical zoom. Moreover, the S26 series is deeply integrated with Google Gemini, providing a system-wide AI experience. Users can activate the agent by long-pressing the side button, accomplishing cross-application tasks with a single tap, eliminating the need for manual switching.

At present, the Chinese domestic versions of the Galaxy S26 series are set for pre-sale in early March and will officially hit the shelves in mid-March.
