Doubao Mobile has issued a formal statement in response to the malicious black public relations tactics that have been hyping up the alleged 'vulnerability in Doubao Mobile Assistant.' ByteDance, the parent company, has consistently placed utmost importance on the security of user information. To this end, it has established a public security vulnerability response platform and offers incentives for those who report vulnerabilities. Up to the point of this statement's release, ByteDance has not received a comprehensive report detailing any vulnerabilities in Doubao Mobile Assistant, nor has it been informed by any cybersecurity regulatory bodies. According to the 'Regulations on the Management of Network Product Security Vulnerabilities,' the unauthorized disclosure of vulnerabilities is potentially illegal. The leaked video demonstrating the vulnerability reveals that the attack is only initiated when users actively instruct the AI to access malicious content. Absent such user commands, the AI will not autonomously engage in high-risk operations. In light of this attack method, Doubao Mobile Assistant has further strengthened its protective measures.
