On February 25, 2026, according to media reports from Jiemian News, National Business Daily, and others, Meizu's mobile phone business has substantially ceased operations and is expected to be officially delisted in March 2026. Its FlymeAuto in-car system business will operate independently and be deeply integrated into the Geely ecosystem, with the Meizu brand likely to be retained. Currently, the StarRise Meizu Feishu group still has over 1,000 members, but many employees have either left or transferred to Zeekr, an automotive brand under Geely. Since April 2025, Meizu has experienced delays in settling payments to suppliers, with a significant amount of outstanding debts remaining unpaid to this day. Previously, Meizu had engaged with potential new buyers, with Dreame Technology and Doubao (a subsidiary of ByteDance) participating in acquisition or cooperation negotiations, but none were successful.
