WeChat Pay has rolled out a "pocket money" feature tailored for children's smartwatches, enabling kids to receive red packets directly on their devices while facilitating joint management by multiple parents. Once children link their WeChat Pay accounts, they can seamlessly receive red packets via their smartwatches, revolutionizing the conventional practice where cash red packets were received and managed on their behalf.

This innovative feature introduces a novel mechanism for collaborative parental management. The primary parent has the option to invite other guardians to participate in joint management. Through this setup, multiple parents can monitor consumption trends in real-time, establish daily spending caps, and remotely recharge accounts. Meanwhile, children can access their transaction details, and parents receive instant notifications for every consumption made.

The payment scenarios extend to offline usage, significantly mitigating the risk of cash loss. It's important to note that this feature is strictly a payment tool, devoid of any entertainment modules. There are also restrictions on red packet receipts: each individual red packet is capped at 200 yuan, with a daily cumulative limit not exceeding 1,000 yuan.

To activate this feature, simply download and install the WeChat Pay application on the child's smartwatch. Then, scan the QR code using a parent's WeChat account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.
