The U.S. Army successfully conducted a counter-drone swarm defense demonstration at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The 'Coyote' Block 3 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed by Raytheon, utilized non-kinetic electromagnetic technology to shoot down multiple incoming drones in a single engagement. This demonstration validated the feasibility of reusable UAVs equipped with electromagnetic weapons as an alternative to traditional explosive interceptors, offering a new approach for future counter-drone operations.
