On February 11, AWOL Vision, a brand dedicated to RGB laser projection technology, officially launched its latest Aetherion series projector on Kickstarter. This milestone marked a new record as the fastest hardware crowdfunding campaign to reach $10 million within just 12 hours. The Aetherion series is powered by AWOL Vision’s proprietary PixelLock™ pixel alignment technology, combined with a cutting-edge precision optical system that dynamically adjusts for factors like lens tolerance and temperature fluctuations, ensuring pixel-perfect image synchronization.
The Aetherion series offers two models: the Aetherion Max and the Aetherion Pro. Both models feature RGB three-color laser light sources, support 4K ultra-short-throw projection, and can display images up to 200 inches. The Aetherion Max delivers 3,300 ISO lumens of brightness, while the Aetherion Pro provides 2,600 ISO lumens. Both versions cover 110% of the Rec.2020 color gamut, boast a native contrast ratio of 6,000:1, and can achieve an enhanced contrast ratio of up to 60,000:1 through advanced algorithms. The series also supports premium image formats, including Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, and HDR10+. Designed specifically for gamers and home theater enthusiasts, it features a 240Hz refresh rate, ultra-low 1ms-level input latency, and variable refresh rate (VRR) technology.
The products are slated for an official release in March 2026, with the Aetherion Max priced at $4,999 and the Aetherion Pro at $3,499.
