On February 8, Zhuhai Duty Free Group officially unveiled the Apple section within the duty-free store catering to inbound travelers at Gongbei Port in Zhuhai. This milestone represents Apple's inaugural venture into the duty-free market at Chinese border ports and also signifies the first instance of smart electronic products being incorporated into this retail landscape. This project stands as the country's pioneering duty-free endeavor for smart electronic products at border ports, following the issuance of duty-free store policies by five key departments, including the Ministry of Finance.

The dedicated Apple section boasts a two-story design, with product displays situated on the first floor and customer services provided on the second floor. The initial product offerings encompass the iPhone 17 series and AirPods. Notably, the duty-free price of the iPhone 17 256GB model presents a nearly 10% reduction compared to its official retail price, offering consumers a compelling value proposition.
