Recently, China's inaugural electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, developed with aerospace expertise by the Ninth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), accomplished its maiden flight at Da'an Airport in Yongchuan, Chongqing. All performance assessments met the required standards. Tailored for a wide range of travel and transport applications, this aircraft boasts a modular design encompassing wings, a cockpit, and a chassis, enabling seamless transitions between 'flight mode' and 'ground mode'. The aerial module is capable of carrying two passengers and can cruise at speeds of up to 150 km/h in airspace below 3,000 meters.
