On February 6, China achieved a significant milestone as its first domestically-developed electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL), under the leadership of the Ninth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), successfully completed its maiden flight at Da'an General Aviation Airport in Yongchuan District, Chongqing. The aircraft also accomplished all performance verifications with flying colors. This innovative aircraft ingeniously combines the characteristics of an aircraft and an automobile, allowing for seamless transitions between land and air travel modes to cater to a wide range of transportation needs. As a versatile low-altitude equipment designed to meet airworthiness standards, it is poised to play a pivotal role in various sectors, including transportation, logistics, and emergency support.
