In 2025, the total online sales of notebook computers across all channels in China hit 13.44 million units, marking a 9.0% year-on-year increase. The total sales value reached RMB 89.3 billion, a significant 21.1% rise compared to the previous year. During the first half of the year, sales experienced a notable upswing, driven by the influence of national subsidy policies and a surge in upgrades following the discontinuation of Windows 10 support. However, in the second half, growth decelerated due to fluctuations in storage chip prices and the diminishing impact of national subsidy policies. The combined sales share of the top 10 brands rose to 91%, an increase of 2 percentage points from 2024. Lenovo emerged as the leader in both sales volume and value, while ASUS and MECHREVO concentrated their efforts on the gaming notebook market. The average price of notebooks climbed to RMB 6,672, an 8% year-on-year hike. It's worth noting that sales in the market segment above RMB 8,000 saw an uptick, whereas sales in the RMB 4,000-5,999 range declined, with the RMB 6,000-7,999 price bracket becoming the most popular segment.
