On February 6, reports surfaced indicating that Reuters had previously asserted SpaceX was in the process of developing an exclusive 'Starlink' phone. This device, as described, would be capable of directly linking to the Starlink satellite network, with the aim of expanding SpaceX's satellite business and laying the groundwork for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Nevertheless, Musk took to social media to refute these claims, explicitly stating that SpaceX has no plans to develop a phone. He also criticized Reuters for what he deemed to be inaccurate reporting.
