Blogger 'Digital Chat Station' has disclosed that Xiaomi has officially declared its intention to launch a self-developed operating system this year. This new system iteration has eliminated some obsolete code, garnering considerable interest. It is anticipated that Xiaomi's forthcoming system will substitute certain underlying frameworks with its own self-developed components and incorporate a self-developed AI large model. However, at this juncture, it is highly probable that native Android services will be retained. Previously, during the Xiaomi '10 Million Tech Awards' ceremony, Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, articulated the company's ambition to achieve complete integration of self-developed chips, a self-developed OS, and a self-developed AI large model within a single terminal device by 2026. Presently, Xiaomi is vigorously pursuing system code optimization, with HyperOS 3.1 having already excised some SDKs harking back to the MIUI era. HyperOS 4, slated for release in August this year, is expected to emerge as a 'zero legacy' iteration. Furthermore, HyperOS 3.1 has ventured into rewriting core system applications utilizing Google's Flutter toolchain and the Rust language, steering towards a modular application architecture. As a transitional version, while introducing native HyperOS SDKs, the system maintains MIUI SDKs to safeguard system stability and compatibility.
