On February 1, 2026, the Caihong YH-1000S, the world's inaugural hybrid-powered unmanned cargo aircraft, was developed by the 11th Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It triumphantly completed its maiden flight in Liangping, Chongqing. Fitted with a robust hybrid powertrain, this aircraft model significantly shortens takeoff and landing distances, boosts payload capacity and range, and has successfully undergone flight performance validation.
