Traditionally, Apple provided a handful of preset standard configurations for each Mac model, enabling users to enhance certain specifications based on these pre-determined setups. However, the company has now shifted gears, requiring users to start from scratch and select configurations independently, offering a purchasing experience more in line with that of ordering an iPad. This change aligns with the common Western consumer habit of customizing products according to personal preferences, giving users greater control over their purchases.
