On January 28, 2026, the three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series—namely, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra—successfully obtained official certification from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This certification pertains to the versions intended for the U.S. market. All three newly launched models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Moreover, they mark the debut of satellite communication capabilities, enabling support for Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) connectivity.
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ adopt a dual-chip configuration. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is utilized in the majority of global markets. Meanwhile, the South Korean domestic version exclusively integrates the world's first mass-produced mobile chip fabricated using the 2nm process—Samsung's in-house developed Exynos 2600.
In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Ultra uniformly features a Qualcomm chip across all markets. It is also the first to be globally launched with the 'overclocked' version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, thereby further boosting its performance. The new series is anticipated to be unveiled on February 25 and will officially hit the shelves on March 11.
