During a dedicated press conference for cities and prefectures at the Fifth Session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, Sun Zhiyang, the Mayor of Guangzhou, announced that the city will enact local regulations to bolster the growth of emerging sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI) and the low-altitude economy. Moreover, Guangzhou will devise a range of policies, encompassing AI+ industry application blueprints and infrastructure planning for low-altitude flights.

To cater to enterprises of varying sizes and at different stages of development, Guangzhou will offer tailored support. This includes assistance with project planning, opening up application scenarios, attracting talent, providing financial backing, and facilitating market expansion. Furthermore, Guangzhou is set to prioritize the realization of eVTOL business models. This will involve establishing flight camp clusters, setting up vertical take-off and landing sites at landmark locations like Canton Tower and Baiyun Mountain, and introducing tourism offerings such as 'Experience Guangzhou from the Skies'.
