According to reports by multiple media outlets on January 23, 2026, vivo has suspended its AI glasses project, which had been in preparation for approximately six months. The project had involved collaboration with ODM manufacturers such as Goertek and Thundersoft to develop prototype products. However, due to the senior management's assessment that it would be difficult to establish differentiated competitive advantages, the project ultimately failed to enter mass production. Previously, vivo had explored various technical solutions, including audio-video and single-green display options. Nevertheless, vivo continues to explore the MR field and released the vivo Vision Explorer Edition in August 2025.
