On January 19th, IT Home reported a notable development: Apple's official U.S. website displayed signs of tight supply for the M4 Pro/Max series MacBook Pro, with delivery timelines for certain configurations stretching up to two months. Presently, while a limited quantity of 14-inch and 16-inch models boasting the M4 Pro chip can still be ordered without undue delay, a substantial portion of configurations featuring the M4 Max chip are facing significant setbacks. Delivery dates for these models are predominantly being pushed back to the period between February 6th and February 24th. In the most extreme case, a custom 14-inch model, equipped with a 16-core M4 Max chip and 128GB of memory, has its delivery date scheduled as far out as March 17th. Earlier reports had suggested that Apple might unveil the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro/Max chips on January 28th, and this current delay in deliveries could very well serve as an indicator pointing towards the imminent launch of these new products.
