Apple's official website has released a security advisory, urging all iPhone and iPad users to swiftly update their devices to the latest system version. This is to tackle the 'exceptionally intricate' security vulnerabilities, namely CVE-2025-43529 and CVE-2025-14174, found in WebKit. Hackers have already exploited these vulnerabilities. Attackers can take advantage of these flaws to run arbitrary code by tricking users into visiting malicious websites, subsequently gaining control over specific phone functions. At present, the pertinent vulnerabilities have been rectified in iOS 26.2 and iOS 18.7.3. The updated system effectively thwarts the execution route of malicious code by enhancing memory management and verification systems. Apple also advises users to reboot their devices after the update to further diminish the likelihood of an attack.
