Foreign media outlets have reported that the latest KB5074109 update for Windows 11 has led to a notable decrease in gaming performance for users equipped with Nvidia graphics cards. A substantial number of GeForce GPU users have observed a 15 - 20 frame reduction in game frame rates, and this problem is widespread across a variety of games. While the update is intended to address security vulnerabilities and enhance battery life, it has inadvertently triggered issues including diminished gaming performance, crashes within the Azure Virtual Desktop service, and irregular USB drive formatting. At present, Microsoft has neither identified the precise cause of the performance drop nor clarified whether it can be rectified through driver updates.
