Reported by Nikkei Asia Review on January 13, Google will commence research, development, and manufacturing operations for high-end smartphones in Vietnam starting from 2026. Currently, Google already boasts a vast supplier network in Vietnam, responsible for assembling multiple products. This year, Google will initiate the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for models such as Pixel, Pixel Pro, and Pixel Fold in Vietnam, covering aspects such as process research and development, product verification, and design optimization. The research and development business for the lower-end Pixel A series will remain in China at this stage.
