On January 12, the Lihong No.1 spacecraft accomplished a suborbital flight test with remarkable success at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The retrievable payload module of the spacecraft made a smooth landing and was subsequently retrieved. This particular test represents the inaugural 100 - kilometer suborbital parachute - recovery experiment within China's commercial aerospace industry. The spacecraft soared to a maximum flight altitude of roughly 120 kilometers, coming extremely close to the boundary of space. It was equipped with scientific experimental payloads, including microgravity laser additive manufacturing. After the retrieval of the payloads, researchers will conduct in - depth studies on them.
