On January 7, 2026, Ring, Amazon's security brand, took the wraps off its inaugural mobile surveillance unit, the Ring Mobile Security Trailer, at CES 2026, marking its official foray into the portable security sector. This unit comes outfitted with a 360-degree panoramic camera, boasts wireless connectivity capabilities, and offers an optional solar power supply. Enhancing its deterrent effect, it also incorporates flashing lights. Priced at $5,000, the unit is anticipated to hit the market in the spring. Concurrently, Ring also unveiled a lineup of sensor devices, priced between $30 and $70, engineered to monitor door/window status, detect smoke and water leaks, and assess air quality. These sensors are slated for release in March and will leverage Amazon Sidewalk's low-power wireless network for seamless data transmission. Moreover, Ring has announced plans to launch a third-party app store and is currently in the process of testing an AI-driven anomaly detection feature, which will be made available for trial to a select group of users later this month.
