As reported by Huanqiu.com, Apple is set to debut an iPhone equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera for the very first time in 2028. This move represents a substantial leap in the pixel specifications of the main camera, coming six years after the iPhone 14 series saw an upgrade to 48 megapixels in 2022. Notably, Samsung has previously teamed up with Apple to co-develop high-end image sensors for the iPhone 18 series, thus breaking Sony's long-standing exclusive supply arrangement. Prior to rolling out the 200-megapixel model, Apple is also expected to implement its imaging technology upgrades in a phased manner.
