Samsung is set to introduce more extensive health - monitoring features for its Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring. According to Vice President Praveen Raja, the company is in the process of developing innovative tools. These tools are designed to detect early signs of cognitive decline, including dementia, through the analysis of data collected from wearable and connected devices.
In the coming days, these two devices will zero in on a variety of behavioral change indicators. Their primary goal is to issue early warnings rather than offer a direct diagnosis of health problems. Samsung firmly believes that artificial intelligence (AI) is the linchpin for boosting the capabilities of its products. It anticipates that multiple devices will take on a preventive role, intervening before health issues fully emerge, and thus driving the growth of personalized health services.
Samsung has ambitious plans to transform its wearable devices into products equipped with preventive health management functions. However, the exact launch date for these new features remains undisclosed. Initially, they will be rolled out as a beta version in select markets.
