According to numerous insider sources, Apple is gearing up to completely ditch the 'Dynamic Island' pill-shaped notch design on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models, which are slated for release in September 2026. In its place, the tech giant is planning to incorporate a single punch-hole front-facing camera situated in the top left corner of the device, coupled with under-display Face ID technology. This redesign is expected to give the front of the iPhone a more streamlined and sleek appearance, while also substantially boosting the screen-to-body ratio. In addition to this design overhaul, the iPhone 18 Pro series will be powered by the A20 Pro chip, which is built on TSMC's cutting-edge 2-nanometer process technology. This advanced chip promises to deliver significant enhancements in both performance and energy efficiency, ensuring a smoother and more power-efficient user experience. Moreover, the series is also set to receive major upgrades across various aspects, including imaging systems, communication capabilities, battery life, and more.
