On November 25, 2025, Huawei unveiled its highly anticipated Mate 80 series smartphones, all of which come with the cutting-edge feature of 3D facial recognition. Specifically, the standard Mate 80 model is outfitted with the Kirin 9020 chip. For the Mate 80 Pro, the 12GB memory variant is powered by the Kirin 9030 chip, while the 16GB memory version steps up to the more advanced Kirin 9030 Pro chip. In terms of performance prowess, when paired with HarmonyOS 6, the Kirin 9030 chip demonstrates a remarkable 35% performance enhancement compared to the Kirin 9020 running on HarmonyOS 4.3. Meanwhile, the Kirin 9030 Pro chip, also in tandem with HarmonyOS 6, achieves an even more impressive 42% performance boost over its predecessor.
