On November 19, the European Commission released an official notice, announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into lawn-mowing robots imported from China. This move came in response to an application filed by EU companies on October 6, 2025. The investigation will examine whether Chinese lawn-mowing robots have been sold in the EU at prices below their normal value—a practice known as dumping. The period under scrutiny for dumping allegations spans from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Meanwhile, the investigation into potential injury to EU industries caused by such alleged dumping will cover a longer timeframe, from January 1, 2022, up until the conclusion of the dumping investigation period. According to standard EU procedures, a preliminary ruling on this case is anticipated within seven months of the investigation's launch. However, in complex cases, this deadline can be extended by an additional month, meaning the final preliminary decision should be made no later than eight months after the initiation of the probe.
