Renowned digital insider Evan Blass has disclosed that Samsung's upcoming triple-folding smartphone will bear the official name Galaxy Z TriFold. This cutting-edge device sports a 6.5-inch external display, boasting a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits. When fully unfolded, the internal screen expands to a sprawling 10 inches, with a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The phone incorporates a distinctive G-shaped folding mechanism, complete with dual hinges. After folding, it measures approximately 14 millimeters in thickness, while in its unfolded state, it thins down to about 4.2 millimeters. In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Z TriFold is anticipated to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It will feature an impressive 200-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. Both the internal and external screens will be equipped with front-facing cameras for seamless selfie-taking and video calling experiences. Furthermore, the phone adopts an innovative design with three separate battery compartments, boasting a total capacity of approximately 5600 mAh. It supports 45W wired fast charging, ensuring quick and efficient power replenishment. The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is slated for an official launch on December 5, with an initial price tag of around $3,000. Initially, it will be available in limited quantities in select markets, including China, South Korea, and Singapore.
