36Kr has obtained exclusive information from multiple reliable sources indicating that Laifen has officially confirmed its foray into the floor-washing machine industry. Notably, the project leader for this venture is a former member of DJI. This new business endeavor has been carried out in utmost secrecy for at least half a year, with an exceptionally high degree of confidentiality maintained throughout.
This year, DJI itself made a bold move into the home cleaning sector by launching the sweeping robot ROMO, which carries a minimum domestic price tag of 4,699 yuan. However, it's important to note that the project leader for Laifen's floor-washing machine did not originate from DJI's ROMO team. 36Kr made efforts to reach out to Laifen for confirmation regarding this matter. Yet, as of the time of this article's publication, no response has been forthcoming from Laifen.
