China’s Integrated Circuit Output Hits 381.9 Billion Units in First Three Quarters, Marking 8.6% Year-on-Year Growth

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the operational performance of China’s electronic information manufacturing sector for the first three quarters of 2025. Data reveals that the industry has witnessed a robust expansion in production. Among the key product categories, mobile phone production totaled 1.11 billion units, reflecting a 4.8% year-on-year decline. However, smartphone output surged to 881 million units, registering a 1% year-on-year increase. Microcomputer device production stood at 251 million units, maintaining parity with the same period in the previous year. Meanwhile, integrated circuit production soared to 381.9 billion units, achieving an 8.6% year-on-year uptick.
