Blog author Digital Chat Station has disclosed that, following Apple's iPhone Air market trial, there appears to be a lack of significant market acceptance for ultra-thin flagship smartphones. Consequently, a domestic phone manufacturer has decided to put on hold its development of a slim and lightweight Air-style smartphone, which was initially slated for release in the first half of next year. Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had already pointed out that the demand for the iPhone Air is falling short of projections, prompting the supply chain to commence reductions in both shipments and production capacity. Projections suggest that by the first quarter of 2026, the majority of suppliers will have slashed their production capacity by over 80%.
