Today marks the rollout of an update for the Miaoxiang Back Screen feature on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Series. This update introduces a host of new features, including dynamic avatars, conversation translation capabilities, five vibrant dynamic wallpapers, and two engaging handheld games.

The back screen avatars have been enhanced to support the capture of dynamic photos, and they now come with new, eye-catching bright-style templates. The conversation translation feature is particularly noteworthy, as it allows users to input Chinese text on the main screen and instantly view translations in foreign languages on the back screen, facilitating seamless cross-lingual communication.

As for the rollout plan, the dynamic wallpapers and handheld games will be made fully available on October 29. Meanwhile, the dynamic avatars and conversation translation feature will be introduced in batches starting from the same date, with a complete rollout anticipated by mid-November.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro Series' Miaoxiang Back Screen, measuring 2.66 inches, is a versatile tool that supports various functions, including making and receiving calls. Lu Weibing, the President of Xiaomi Group, has also hinted that the next-generation phone will retain the back screen design. Furthermore, he emphasized that Xiaomi is increasing its R&D investment to ensure monthly functional iterations, promising even more innovative features in the future.
