In September 2025, China witnessed a surge in the online sales of smart door locks across all channels, with the total sales volume reaching 725,000 units. This figure represented a significant year-on-year increase of 14.8%. Correspondingly, the sales revenue soared to RMB 600 million, marking a 12.1% rise from the previous year. A closer look at the market reveals that products priced below RMB 1,000 dominated the sales volume, accounting for a staggering 67.6%. Meanwhile, the mid-to-high-end market segment was notably led by prominent brands such as Desman, Xiaomi, and Huawei. Focusing on traditional mainstream e-commerce platforms in September, the combined sales revenue share of the top four brands reached an impressive 56.2%. Xiaomi emerged as the frontrunner, securing a 26.5% share. Its latest offering, the Smart Door Lock 4 Pro, experienced a remarkable year-on-year sales revenue surge of over 190% within the price range of RMB 2,000 to RMB 2,499. Following closely behind were Desman, Kaadas, and Huawei, with shares of 23.7%, 8.9%, and 6.0%, respectively. Notably, Huawei capitalized on its HarmonyOS ecosystem synergy, achieving a staggering 168.7% year-on-year increase in sales revenue within the price range of RMB 2,500 to RMB 3,999. According to projections by Runto, the fourth quarter of 2025 is expected to witness a continued upswing in the online sales of smart door locks across all channels in China. The total sales volume is anticipated to exceed 3 million units, with the annual sales volume likely surpassing 9 million units, representing an approximate 20% year-on-year increase.
