Beyond launching its inaugural XR headset, Samsung has also revealed its intentions to introduce AI glasses. These glasses are currently in the development phase, a collaborative effort with Google and renowned fashion eyewear labels like Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Leveraging the Android XR platform, the product seamlessly incorporates Google's Gemini model, although its official name remains undisclosed. Samsung has kept the release date of its first AI glasses under wraps. However, it has outlined plans to debut a non-display variant in 2026, followed by an AR display-equipped version in 2027. This strategic move positions Samsung to rival Meta's offerings in the eyewear market down the line.
