According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple's development of a large-sized foldable screen device aimed at reinventing the iPad has encountered technical bottlenecks, potentially leading to a delay in its market launch. The device, expected to be priced at around $3,000, has been under development for several years and was originally planned for a 2028 release. However, engineering challenges related to weight, functionality, and display technology may push the launch date to 2029 or even later. Apple is collaborating with Samsung Display to develop an approximately 18-inch display panel designed to minimize folding marks. The foldable iPad project represents a significant part of Apple's innovative product lineup.
