A tech blogger has revealed that the China Unicom mobile app has now introduced an eSIM pre-booking service. Although users cannot currently complete the entire pre-booking process, this move strongly suggests that the highly anticipated iPhone Air is on the verge of its official release. Earlier reports from well-informed sources disclosed that Apple's iPhone Air is slated to be available through carrier stores as contract-based phones starting in October.

At present, all three major Chinese telecom operators—China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom—are gearing up to offer eSIM support for the iPhone Air. However, the exact timing for the rollout of this service will hinge on the progress of regulatory approvals. Apple has expressed its commitment to working closely with the relevant regulatory bodies to expedite the introduction of this new iPhone model into the Chinese market at the earliest opportunity.
