Today, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, released a report indicating that the total shipments of the Xiaomi 17 series are set to experience a substantial decline of approximately 20%. Initially, the target was set at around 10 million units. However, following adjustments, this figure is expected to dip below the roughly 8 million units achieved by the previous-generation Xiaomi 15 series. The main reason behind this shipment reduction is the weaker-than-anticipated demand for the Xiaomi 17 standard version. Originally, it was projected to constitute 50% - 55% of the total sales for the series. Yet, in reality, its sales share only accounts for a mere 15% - 20%. Despite an uptick in orders for the Pro Max and Pro versions, they are still insufficient to compensate for the sales shortfall of the standard version.
