During the 2025 Boundless Laser Display Technology and Industry Development Conference, Hisense made a significant announcement: it will progressively make available more than 1,300 core patents pertaining to three-color laser technology, with the aim of fostering the worldwide adoption of this cutting-edge display technology. Simultaneously, Hisense took the wraps off two groundbreaking products: the world's inaugural 150-inch screen-emitting laser TV, dubbed the Explore X1 Ultra, and the world's first 100-inch rollable laser cinema, named the Jiangshan Scroll R1. As per Hisense's official website, its independently developed full-color laser TV employs RGB three-color lasers as its light source, eschewing the need for phosphors or color wheels for color enhancement, thereby delivering high-fidelity image reproduction. Presently, it stands as the sole display technology that can fully comply with the ultra-high-definition BT2020 international standard.
