Meta Platforms unveiled its first consumer-grade smart glasses with a built-in digital display, the "Meta Ray-Ban Display," at its Connect developer conference. Priced at $799, the glasses will start shipping on September 30. The glasses feature a built-in screen on the right lens, capable of displaying information such as text messages, video calls, and map navigation. They also come equipped with Meta's neural wristband, supporting gesture control. Additionally, Meta introduced the $499 Oakley-branded Vanguard glasses for athletes and an upgraded version of the Ray-Ban glasses, priced at $379.
