Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has unveiled that the MacBook will, for the first time, incorporate a touch panel. This strategic move is poised to further blur the distinction between the MacBook and iPad. Apple, it seems, has keenly observed iPad users' behaviors and recognized that touch-based operation can significantly boost productivity and enhance the overall user experience.
The upcoming OLED MacBook Pro, anticipated to commence mass production by the end of 2026, will indeed be outfitted with a touch panel. In contrast, the more budget-friendly MacBook model, set to enter mass production in the fourth quarter of this year and powered by an iPhone processor, will not feature this touch capability. At present, discussions are underway regarding the specifications for the second-generation model, with the possibility of incorporating touch functionality being considered.
