On September 16, XPENG AEROHT released a statement regarding the incident that occurred at the Changchun Air Show. That afternoon, during a dual-aircraft formation drill conducted by Guangdong Aeroht General Aviation, two aircraft came into contact with each other. This happened because the flying distance between them was excessively close after the conclusion of the air show rehearsal. As a result, one aircraft managed to land safely, while the other suffered damage and caught fire during its landing attempt. Fortunately, all personnel present at the scene were unharmed, and the relevant authorities promptly and effectively completed the on-site handling procedures. The exact cause of the accident is still under thorough investigation. According to reports, the incident involved two XPENG AEROHT eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft).
