In the realm of DIY hardware, products adorned with displays are rapidly gaining popularity. V-Color Technology has just made a groundbreaking move by launching the world's inaugural DDR5 memory module that incorporates an OLED display—the XFinity+. This innovative product made its grand entrance in May, specifically targeting the high-end market segment.

The OLED display integrated into this memory module serves as a real-time information hub, providing users with instant access to memory specifications and vital status updates. In a strategic partnership with GIGABYTE, the display is engineered to function seamlessly without requiring any extra connections. Moreover, it remains active and displays information even during the POST (Power-On Self-Test) phase, a testament to its advanced design. The technology underpinning this feature has already secured a patent, ensuring V-Color's competitive edge.

The XFinity+ is offered in two distinct configurations, tailored to suit both AMD and Intel platforms. Additionally, customers have the option to choose between black and white color variants, adding a touch of personalization to their setup. Initially, the product lineup will consist solely of single memory modules equipped with displays. However, V-Color has exciting plans to introduce an SCC Kit 2+2 package in the near future, catering to enthusiasts seeking a more comprehensive solution.

While the display content is currently limited to memory-related information and does not offer customization options, the package does provide users with the flexibility to adjust ARGB lighting effects through software. This feature allows for a personalized aesthetic experience, enhancing the overall appeal of the product.

When it comes to performance, the initial kits designed for the Intel platform boast impressive speeds ranging from DDR5-8200 to DDR5-9066. Meanwhile, the AMD platform is no slouch, supporting speeds up to DDR5-9000, with low-latency versions also available to cater to specific user needs. However, pricing details for this cutting-edge product have yet to be disclosed.

The XFinity+ is slated for release in the third quarter of this year. It will initially be available exclusively on Newegg, followed by a wider rollout across multiple platforms, ensuring that enthusiasts worldwide can get their hands on this revolutionary product.
